Conclusion
"Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful..."
Creating this website has been a lot of fun for me. I've never made a website before so this was definitely a new and unique experience. I finally know the functions for each button and have gotten used to working around "Weebly".. I will certainly be making a second website....maybe a blog though.
As for my topic, "eating disorders", I have learned and acquired a great deal of information. This assignment has opened my eyes to a new world that I'm not used to. Although I knew what eating disorders were, I wasn't exactly familiar with it. I didn't know this issue affected/affects millions of people. When I watched the first video "My Friend Ana", I started to understand the feelings of the victim and the pain they face everyday. Eating disorders are like vile creatures that try and take over their prey's life. What surprised me the most was the fact that both girls and boys experience eating disorders. Because of our society now, girls think the "ideal" image is to be young and thin. Boys think the "ideal" image is to be muscular and thin as well. When researching for my website, I actually came across an article about "Ke$sha", a famous pop star. The cause to the development of her eating disorder was Dr. Luke, her own music producer. Apparently he complained about her weight and even proceeded to call her a "big, fat refrigerator". From this, we can see how society has affected our generation's self esteem. Hopefully, as time passes by, everyone will learn to accept each other for who they are, regardless of colour, size or features.
